General Information
The Wyoming Switchboard Network acts as the central collection of distance education resources available to Wyoming students, parents, instructors, school districts, and DE program providers. The Switchboard provides access to the current distance education courses available to K-12 students
and information about the various DE program providers.
Chapter 41 Distance Education Rules (View) - These rules provide a uniform process for all
distance education courses offered by Wyoming school districts or from which academic
credit will be transferred to or accepted by a Wyoming school district. The provisions of
this Chapter shall apply to all distance education courses offered by Wyoming school
districts or distance education courses from which academic credit will be transferred to
or accepted by a Wyoming school district.
Resident District Handbook (View) - For each student receiving distance education coursework, the student's resident district is required to complete a Distance Learning Plan to ensure the delivery method is appropriate to the individual student’s
learning capabilities, monitor the student’s progress through the DE course(s), facilitate necessary
instructional support, and maintain the student's records. The resident district is responsible for verifying

state and local district program standards.
Student Enrollment and Monitoring (View or Download) - This webcast provides an introduction to key distance education definitions, information to consider prior to enrolling students, requirements when enrolling students and monitoring their progress.
